Closing Night Gala Event - BIG NOTHING
Cineworld, Screen 8, 19.30
The icing on the Cardiff Film Festival cake - the Closing Night Gala film this year is a special preview screening of Pathe’s Big Nothing, a fantastic comedy thriller directed by Jean-Baptiste Andrea starring Simon Pegg, David Schwimmer, Alice Eve, Natascha McElhone, John Polito and Mimi Rogers.
Supported by the Creative IP Fund in Wales and with a number of scenes shot in Barry, Caerwent and Monmouthshire this event will be the finale of the Cardiff Film Festival for 2006.
Big Nothing is the story of Charlie Wood, a frustrated, unemployed teacher who decides to take revenge on life by embarking on a supposedly fool-proof blackmailing scheme with an unpredictable scammer Gus Dickinson and Josie McBroom an ambitious former teenage beauty queen turned con-artist. Just as things get really bad for the ill-fated trio, you can rest assured, they’re going to get much worse.
Ticket price: £12.00 includes film screening and reception.
