It’s Easter in the beach house of a Chilean well-to-do and nowadays family.

A typical family. One of those whose world may be falling apart but, as good manners say, will keep the solemnity and the sobriety these holly days demand.

A self-centered and successful father, a disoriented mother and a son annulled by his father, form this family that will suffer a sudden and everlasting change in only one weekend.

The three of them tense, wait for the arrival of the son’s first official girlfriend; a disturbing and rebellious young lady who will invade the house with her powerful sexual load and other "gifts", breaking loose an emotional cataclysm with no stepping back.

Other friends have also arrived to the beach. A beautiful and insolent young lady who has decided to make a mysterious silence vow, and two university mates who must prepare for an important exam, but who, just like the others, will be inevitably taken into the destructive passion ruling this holly days and that they’ll hardly ever take out of their heads.

The Sacred Family is a movie that shows, without objections or pleasures, how the basic core of society silently disintegrates, but at the same time manages to find the tenderness that redeems those who must -or may- be saved.
