Friday 10 November

It’s 3:07am and two girls burst into a run down toilet. Joanne is crying her eyes out and her clothing is ripped.  Kelly's face is bruised and starting to swell.  Duncan Allen lies in his bathroom bleeding to death. Duncan's son, Stuart, has found his father and wants answers. Derek, Kelly's pimp, needs to find Kelly or it will be him who pays. When Colin Framption's wife is accidentally killed on holiday in Prague, he decides that life isn't worth living. Using only the remaining balance on his credit card he hires a long-suffering Czech odd-job man, Pavel, to kill him. An unlikely friendship develops as Pavel's plans spin out of control.

Special Guests: Gary Slaymaker in conversation with Steen Agro (Director) and Andy Nyman (lead actor)… this will be hilarious!

HANG UP YOUR BRIGHTEST COLOURS - 18:00, Chapter         
A passionate, riveting defence of IRA icon Michael Collins, in a programme banned from TV for more than 20 years.  Griffith’s at his bullish best, almost incandescent with rage as he denounces the British government for their alleged double-dealing and role in the troubles.

ARE YOU READY FOR LOVE? - 18:30, Cineworld

Monday 13 November

HIGH TREASON - 14:30, Chapter
Cold War paranoia casts its shadow over High Treason, one of those post-war films prompted by concerns about the Communist threat after the Soviet Union entered the Nuclear Arms race in 1949.

It was made a little too soon after the Manhattan project, Hiroshima and Nagasaki for comfort, and at its heart is Jimmy Ellis (Griffith) as a craven delinquent, misfit son of a war hero. His longsuffering mum is played by Joan Hickson, later a memorable TV Miss Marple.

Tuesday 14 November

THE LIVES OF THE SAINTS - 19:00, Cineworld
'The Lives of the Saints’ is a dark morality tale whereby fantastical events take place in the ordinary surroundings of modern-day London.

The story unfolds in the cafes, clubs and shops of Green Lanes where Mr Karva is the boss; a ridiculous yet dangerous man who is known and feared by all. Othello, his stepson, is the young pretender, palling around with his girlfriend Tina and his weak-willed lackey Emilio. Life revolves around socialising, gambling and trying to scrape together a modest living.

Special Guests: Celebrity Photographer and Publisher, Rankin and Co-Director Chris Cottam discuss their transition into film.


LITTLE WHITE LIES - 20:30, Chapter
‘Little White Lies’ is a comedy about racism set in Wales, where the mother, Karen, tries to hold it all together as her layabout husband, Tony, makes a joke about everything, her daughter, Serena, falls in love with an Indian from Neath and her son, Steve, becomes a racist thug.      

Special Guests: Award Winning lead actors, Helen Griffin (Twin Town, Human Traffic) , Brian Hibbard (Flying Pickets, Coronation Street) with Director, Caradog James and Peter Edwards.




Wednesday 15 November

GOD'S FORGOTTEN HOUSE - 19:00, Cineworld 
God’s Forgotten House is about the difficulty of what to do with innocence once it is lost. It is the story of a confused and struggling young man, John Phillips, who is court mandated to work in a home for troubled children in Harlem. Each child presents a unique set of emotional challenges, and the house is full of violent outbursts and emotional scars where only the strongest survive.

Special Guests: Welsh-born Director Justin Golding comes back to his roots to discuss his debut feature.

                

                         

Thursday 16 November

FREE JIMMY - 19:00, Cineworld
Four stoners, three gangsters, five vegans and a million reasons to free one junkie elephant…
